NOTE: Tuitions may reflect two different fees. The first (lowest) tuition is for students who are members of a service belonging to the SC EMS Association, and the second (highest) tuition is for students sponsored by non-members of the SC EMS Association ($members/non-members).
Anatomy and Physiology Tuition includes book, notebook and instruction. This class is designed to meet paramedic prerequisite with emphasis on organs and systems emphasized in paramedic training program. $200/$375. · Chester—Aug 20, 27, Sept 3, 11(Friday), 12, 24, Oct 1, 8, 16 (Friday), 22 · West Columbia—Sept 16, 23, 30, Oct 7, 14, 21, 28, Nov 4, 11, 18
Paramedic Refresher · Summer class, W Columbia—Tues/Thurs evenings 6p-10p, $200/$350—Text not included. June 9, 11, 19*Fri evening, 23, 25, 30, July 2, 7, 9, 14, 16, 24. · Note 12 students must be enrolled by June 4 or class will be postponed.
EMT-Intermediate · Tuitions include HOBET, Text, one registry written and one registry practical exam, all instruction. $200/375 · Accepting interest for Aiken and Edgefield classes. · Note, all classes must have 12 students enrolled 2 weeks prior to class or schedule will be postponed.
EMT Basic Tuitions include HOBET, Text and Workbook, manual, one registry written and one registry practical exam, all instruction. $750. · West Columbia—Registration June 5, Class starts June 12. Fri and Sat 9am-1pm, ends Oct 24.. · Greenwood area, accepting interest for July course. Mon/Wed 9am-1pm.
EMT– Basic Refresher Tuition includes book and practical exam. Does not include National Registry CBT exam ($75). · Accepting interest for class in Greenwood area.
Instructor Methodology Fall class, October. SCOPE This 8-hour pediatric class covers care for special needs children. Train the Trainer, Postponed, will repost the date, West Columbia— Provider Classes -Call to schedule.
Note: National Registry cognitive exam is now administered through Computer-Based Testing effective Jan 1, 2007. The fee for computer testing is $100 per attempt after that date. Students will be responsible for all retesting fees after Jan 1, 2007.
HOBET Health Occupations Basic Entrance Test – Students must score 42 (Reading comprehension) and 42 Composite (average of reading and math scores) to qualify for EMT-I or EMT-P training. Price: $35.00 Call Midlands EMS to schedule. Offered most days at 9 am and 1 pm. Two students per exam. Larger groups can be scheduled. |
