*Note that on courses marked with an asterisk prices may decrease as grant funds become available, check website frequently or call the Midlands office for more information.

NOTE: Tuitions may reflect two different fees. The first (lowest) tuition is for students who are members of a service belonging to the SC EMS Association, and the second (highest) tuition is for students sponsored by non-members of the SC EMS Association ($members/non-members).

 

Anatomy and Physiology

Summer class– Thursdays and Fridays, 0900-1700 June 20, 26, July 10, 17, 18, 24, 25, 31, Aug 1 and exam Aug 7.  * check back for schedule revisions.

· $150 includes book, handouts and all fees. West Columbia.

 

Paramedic—Initial

Next class projected Jan 09. Student must meet A&P & HOBET prerequisites, and entrance requirements for MTC HealthTracks programs (COMPASS test). Tuition sponsored by DOLETA grant through Midlands Tech  . Internship fee $1800 for students sponsored by services that are SCEMS Association members, $2300 for non-sponsored students.

Paramedic Refresher

· Daytime class—CORRECTED DATES— 06/05, 06/13, 06/14, 06/19, 06/23

· Nighttime class—June 9, 13, 18, 23, 27, July 2, 7, 11, 16, 21, 25, 30, and two Saturday skill reviews. $150/$300—Text not included.

PDLS

Pediatric Disaster Life Support –is a one-day course highlighting considerations for treating pediatric patients during a variety of disasters including exposure to WMD agents. Grant supported, call to schedule class at your service.

 

Watch for details on a Train-The-Trainer class during May.

 

EMT-Intermediate

· Tuitions include Text, one registry written and one registry practical exam, all instruction. $150/325

Note: National registry will change all “written” exams to Computer-Based Testing on Jan 1, 2007. The fee for “written” testing will increase to $100 per attempt after that date. Students will be responsible for all retesting fees after Jan 1, 2007. 

 

HOBET  Health Occupations Basic Entrance Test – Students must score 42 (Reading comprehension) and 42 Composite (average of reading and math scores) to qualify for EMT-I or EMT-P training.  Price: $35.00 Call Midlands EMS to schedule. Offered most days at 9 am and 1 pm. Two students per exam. Larger groups can be scheduled.
