Current Course and Exam Calendar January 25, 2010 Please call or e-mail the Midlands office @ 803 794 3940 for registration or register on-line at www.midlandsems.com. *Note that on courses marked with an asterisk prices may decrease as grant funds become available, check website frequently for more information. NOTE: Tuitions may reflect two different fees. The first (lowest) tuition is for students who are members of a service belonging to the SC EMS Association, and the second (highest) tuition is for students sponsored by non-members of the SC EMS Association ($members/non-members).
Paramedic Refresher · Late Spring Class registration and schedule to be posted, estimated start date May 2010. $300/$400 EMT-Intermediate · Tuitions include HOBET, Text, one registry written and one registry practical exam, all instruction. $300/400 · Next class registers February 16th, Tues and Fri nights 6-10 pm, schedule to be posted. Class to begin February 23rd. · Note, all classes must have 12 students enrolled at registration or schedule will be postponed.
EMT Basic Tuitions include HOBET, Text and Workbook, manual, one registry written and one registry practical exam, all instruction. $750. · Edgefield, Registration TBD, 6pm, classes Tues, 6-10 pm and Sat 9am-1 pm Start date postponed, check back · West Columbia, registration Monday, February 15, 2010, 6pm. Registration date is mandatory! Class begins Monday, March 1st. · Note, all classes must have 12 students enrolled at registration or schedule will be postponed.
Instructor Methodology Spring schedule—to be posted Students need to have notebook computer for one day of class (TBD) for Powerpoint Development workshop. Borrowing one for the day is fine!
Note: National Registry cognitive exam is now administered through Computer-Based Testing effective Jan 1, 2007. The fee for computer testing is $100 per attempt after that date. Students will be responsible for all retesting fees after Jan 1, 2007.
HOBET Health Occupations Basic Entrance Test – Students must score 42 (Reading comprehension) and 42 Composite (average of reading and math scores) to qualify for EMT-I or EMT-P training. Price: $35.00 Call Midlands EMS to schedule. Offered most days at 9 am and 1 pm. Two students per exam. Larger groups can be scheduled. |
